Built in 1915 as the Hiroshima Prefecture Commercial Exhibition hall, the A-bomb Dome is the only building that survived the atomic bomb in a 2km radius. It was detonated 600m above this building. The city is committed to keeping this dome standing as a lesson for humankind, and 3 structural repairs have been done on it since. Really heavy air.

The Peace Park is so beautifully built. Hiroshima has some really impressive architecture overall, but the Peace Park was quite something. That’s the museum in the background. It only cost 50 cents and was completely horrifying (as its meant to be). I doubt the people/politicians that should be seeing it have been though.
